You鈥檒l take a million year journey through how this park came to be. As well as take in the historical and modern day significance of this waterway. You’ll learn about the wildlife and ecology of this area. Other iconic sights along the way include the Little Red Lighthouse, the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Riverside Cathedral and more!

听This cruise is a great way to fully enjoy the Fall season. Take in the dramatic cliffs soaring over 500 feet above the water. The foliage of the Hudson Valley! About Our Urban Naturalist Guides:

Gabriel Willow is a naturalist with a particular passion for birds and urban spaces. He is an environmental educator and ecological tour guide in NYC. He regularly leads tours and teaches classes for NYC Audubon and Wave Hill. His tours focus on seeking out the overlooked and ignored elements of wildness hiding all around us. This can range from boat trips on the Hudson River, to kayaking on Newtown Creek, to seeking the elusive Peregrine Falcons nesting on skyscrapers near Wall Street! He has created programs for Lincoln Center, the Morgan Library and Museum, the NY Botanical Garden, and more. He is also an artist, illustrator, and DJ, and the former Vice-President of the Linnaean Society of NY.

Russell Jacobs is a writer and naturalist from Brooklyn, New York. He discovered the natural world exploring New York City鈥檚 parks and shorelines as a child, and has led birding and environmental education programs for people of all ages and backgrounds with organizations such as NYC Audubon, RISE Rockaway, Hudson River Community Sailing, NYC Plover, and others. He loves to teach people of all ages about local birds, plants, marine life, and natural history. In addition to guiding tours, he has also worked on habitat restoration projects, ecological research, surveys, and other environmental initiatives throughout New York City and beyond. His writing on ecology and environmental history has been featured in publications such as Slate, Hell Gate, and Urban Omnibus.

While Marea’s Central Park South location undergoes renovations this summer, we鈥檝e partnered with Chef Lauren DeSteno to create Marea at Sea. It’s an extraordinary culinary journey aboard our schooner America 2.0.

Every Monday evening through the end of September, join us for a two-hour sunset sail featuring three exquisite courses of small bites. Chef DeSteno and her talented team have designed a menu that captures the essence of Marea. This offering is an unforgettable dining adventure on the high seas. To elevate your experience even further, we have also devised an optional wine pairing to add to your reservation.

Setting the Scene

Your evening begins at Pier 62, adjacent to Hudson River Park and Chelsea Piers. As we set sail down the Hudson River, you鈥檒l be greeted with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Our first course features a delightful array of small bites, including a tuna tartare and caviar goug茅re, an East Coast oyster in escabeche, hamachi crudo, and branzino crudo with panzanella, perfectly paired with a soave classico from Veneto.

As we glide past iconic landmarks like Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, the second course arrives. Savor the flavors of beef tartare, caponata-stuffed eggplant, a 鈥渟eafood salad鈥� skewer, and Marea鈥檚 signature astice (lobster) spoon with tomato, eggplant, and stracciatella, accompanied by a refreshing rosato wine from Puglia.

What鈥檚 Up NY episode: Sea NYC

麻豆射区 is honored to be featured in the “What鈥檚 Up NY episode: Sea NYC” through . The NY2C representative, Michele Traina, takes one of our beautiful sunset cruises aboard yacht Manhattan.

Traina interviews our very own Captain Aaron! With his expert guidance, Traina is able to do her own driving along the Hudson river. Traina and her crew experience the magic of New York City at twilight on our Sunset Cruise aboard the elegant Yacht Manhattan.

As the sun sets and the city lights begin to sparkle. Stunning views can be seen of the iconic skyline from the comfort of our 1920s-style yacht. They glide under the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge taking in everything around them.

Traina makes sure to highlight that each of our ticketed cruises include a complementary drink. Specifically mentioning our sparkling local wine from the Hudson Valley. “I have my cocktail in one hand, a view in the other…and with a fresh water breeze I love it!” says Traina.
